Who I am
Hey! I'm Akshat — a Mathematics & Scientific Computing undergraduate atIIT Kanpur, driven by a deep curiosity for how things work and how they can be built better.
I enjoy working across the full spectrum of software — from building AI-powered agentic systemsand data pipelines to crafting polished mobile apps and full-stack web tools. I'm at my best when I'm solving a problem that actually matters to people.
Outside of code, I've competed nationally in quizzes, directed short films, achieved a DELF B1 certification in French, and created a graphic novel recreation ofA Tale of Two Cities. I bring the same attention to detail from those pursuits to everything I build.

SQL → PostgreSQL Agentic Migration Validator
GitHub- Built an agentic AI system using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that autonomously validates enterprise data migrations from SQL Server to PostgreSQL, orchestrated via a LangGraph state machine.
- Designed a pluggable multi-LLM adapter layer supporting Ollama (local/offline), OpenAI GPT-4o, and Google Gemini for AI-driven tasks including semantic column mapping, PII detection, schema drift analysis, and fuzzy duplicate resolution.
- Implemented statistical validation checks (row counts, null-rate drift, distribution KS-tests, referential integrity, freshness monitoring) surfaced as MCP tools consumed by the AI agent.
- Containerised source and target databases using Docker Compose, enabling a fully reproducible, self-contained validation environment with automated schema initialisation.

Web-based course planning tool for IIT Kanpur students with automated timetable clash detection and prerequisite validation via web scraping from IITK's Pingala system.
YouTube Analytics Toolkit
Data pipeline accessing YouTube Data API v3 to scrape 500+ videos and derive a "Viral Ratio" metric. Used NLTK VADER and OpenCV to correlate sentiment and thumbnail features with performance.
FocusFlow: Pomodoro Timer App
Pomodoro timer for Android with MVVM architecture, reactive state management using StateFlow, DND/Silent mode integration, and Material Design 3 principles.
Dance Studio
Cross-platform app allowing users to set markers on a video and seamlessly loop between any two of them — ideal for learning choreography or practice.
DICE-FER: Facial Emotion Recognition
Reproduced and analyzed the DICE-FER framework (CVPR Workshop 2024), which uses mutual information to disentangle identity from expression features for enhanced facial emotion recognition.
Umstroke Graphing Calculator
Comprehensive graphing calculator built from scratch in Python without matplotlib — implemented real-time equation parsing, zoom/pan controls, color schemes, and trigonometric function support using Tkinter and SymPy.

2017Won the nationwide quiz competition organized by Dell India, competing against thousands of participants across the country.
Semi-finalist — Classmate Spell Bee Season 12
2018Reached the semi-finalist stage of this national spelling competition and appeared on the TV show broadcast.
Prestige Cinevision Festival Winner
2018–19Won the festival by creating short films: "Betiyaan", "Myth Busters", and "Zindagi Ka Suffer". Directed, wrote, and produced each film.
Graphic Novelist & Poet
2018Created a graphic novel recreation of Charles Dickens' "A Tale of Two Cities" and a poetry booklet using Photoshop.
